My creative passion was reawakened in March 2010 when I began taking a weekly encaustic painting class with Heather Gentleman. I truly love the way she teaches! I am able to experiment and explore the medium, knowing that Heather’s expertise, creativity, and encouragement are always there. Each new painting is a wonderful experiement using different tools and techniques, applying layers, colour and found objects, manipulating the wax with heat; rubbing and scraping back – the possibilities are endless. In February 2011 Heather encouraged me to submit a painting to a juried art show and my piece was accepted!  For the past year Heather has been my teacher, mentor and inspiration. I now take Heather s monthly 6 hour workshop and love it – what an amazing way to spend the day!”
